Whoever or whatever does it best.

Bellwether plans automation that puts people, AI software and robots each on the work they do best, and shows it running before you build.

Overview

What do you want to automate?

Describe a process. Bellwether maps who does each step, a person, AI software or a robot, and shows it running.

Pick an example, or see how Bellwether works.

    Introducing

Bellwether plan your automation project yourself

Design a workflow that combines robots, AI software and people, watch it run in simulation, and leave with a plan that’s ready to build.

Illustrative demo. The orange-packing example, the AI-generated video and photos, the screens and the wording show how Bellwether works and may change in the shipped product.

    Tell us the process

Talk or type. Upload videos of people doing the job, training manuals, machine specs, safety documents and any simulations you have. Bellwether asks about what you left out, like site power, Wi-Fi and lighting.

    Review your workflow

Bellwether turns what you shared into a workflow you can check step by step, as a storyboard or a Petri net. Each task shows whether a person, AI software or a robot does it, and what it needs.

When a part doesn’t exist yet, Bellwether marks the gap and suggests a way around it.

    Start from what others built

Browse automations from manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, higher education, and so much more. Reuse a whole workflow or a single task, the way developers reuse code on GitHub or models on Hugging Face.

While you build, Bellwether keeps looking for new tasks that fit yours.

    Watch it run

Bellwether simulates each robot task with physics-based objects and environments, then shows it to you as a lifelike video. Click a task to see its simulation, or watch the whole workflow play through.

    Take the plan with you

You get every step, every component and any gaps still to solve. Show it to leadership for funding, hand it to an integrator, or send it to a robot or tooling maker.

    How it works

    1. 01

      Sim-to-Real Engine

Bellwether simulates each robot task with physics-based objects and environments, then grades the simulation against its target. If it falls short, Bellwether tells you what to change. Closing that gap between simulation and the real world is the core science 3GEN works on.

      Automation marketplace

Browse automations others have built in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, higher education, and so much more. Reuse a whole workflow or a single task, the way developers reuse code on GitHub. You can also buy scanned 3D objects and plugins that make simulations closer to real life, and talk in forums with people who have automated similar work.

      From plan to working robot

Today Bellwether gives you a plan and its simulations. A later version will run each simulation many times under varied conditions to generate synthetic training data, so a model trained in simulation works on the real robot. Our research on World Action Models is the groundwork for that step.

    How we work

    Three promises for every deployment

    • Tell people what’s changing in their job before it changes.

The people whose tasks are redefined hear first, and are first in line for the roles automation creates.

    • Tell people what’s recorded and why before you record it.

Before filming starts, workers know the footage may train an AI model, what it will be used for, and whether it leaves the building.

    • Name who’s accountable before a robot makes a mistake.

A specific role in the plant owns the call when a robot works outside the conditions it was tested for.
